In time of our visit weather wasn’t the best. We had some sun, but the wind was pretty strong, and the temperatures were low, it was even snowing for five minutes…
This weather situation makes city even darker as it is – it looks so Gothic styled, almost medieval.

Street market - but no Trotters
As we were closing Guinness store house, we saw something pretty weird…Still not sure what this should represent…

WTF?! Not sure, don't ask
I think there is a very low percentage of tourists which do not visit the Guinness Storehouse. Before my visit to Guinness i even didn’t like Guinness or any kind of dark beer; but now after the experience in Dublin, i drink it even more than Laško (our national beer).

Way to Guinness Storehouse
I suggest you book your visit online before going to the storehouse – it is cheaper, and you can avoid tremendous queues.

Queue in front of the storehouse

Queue behind the corner
There are actually two queues, first one, in which you have to wait for the entrance to the storehouse, and the second one, a queue to the cash desk – even though we had a long queue, we haven’t waited long (about 30 minutes).
The entrance fee is a little pricey (€15). They even ask you where you come from, but if you say Slovenia, you get “Other country” stamp on the entrance ticket.
The first thing you see (when you are still in the inside queue) is the original lease signed by Arthur Guinness signed in 1759, and the collection of all kind of bottles, in which Guinness beer was sold.

The tour resides on seven floors, on which different process of beer manufacturing is presented – from agriculture (beer ingredients related), brewing process, testing lab
, transportation of beer and much more…

Water is the prime ingredient

Thanks god for the escalators...

Testing lab...

Kegs of beer & Marin who had a few too many

We had to leave the "We were here" message (in the middle)
There is an observation deck on the seventh floor, and that is where you get your free pint of Guinness…
It is even better, when you have to walk seven floors, just to get it

Because the visit to the Guinness brewery doesn’t last long, we still had some time to go to eat and visit the city center.
